Long-run UPS, the  720watt - 1Kva with one 100ah  battery will provide continuous backup power during long-term outage for up to 4 hours with a single battery or add an additional battery to extend the backup time. Equipped with double boost and single buck, it allows to work indefinitely through deep brownouts and overvoltages without draining the battery, saving battery life for power outages.

Plug directly in to a walll plug then plug your appliances in for uninterrupted power.

Unit will power TV, DSTV,  and a light for upto 4 hours.

Automatic recharging when power is restored.

You can add an additional battery to double the battery time.

Avoid Load Shedding

Features :

  • Simulated sine wave output
  • Excellent microprocessor control guarantees high reliability
  • Boost and buck AVR for voltage stabilization
  • Selectable charging current
  • Auto restart while AC is recovering
  • Off-mode charging
  • Cold start function

HOW DO THESE INVERTERS WORK:

The unit is permanently connected to a wall plug so that while mains power  is present the built-in battery charger recharges the batteries and keeps the batteries fully charged until a power failure occurs. The equipment you want to back up is also permanently connected to the Inverter via the connector provided. In case of a power failure the backup system automatically switches over to the inverter, which will continue to provide power to the equipment. This is extremely fast and standard equipment like TVs, DSTV decoders,  fans, routers etc. are unaffected. The systems can also backup computers but it is possible that a very small percentage of computers could reset during the switchover time.

When mains power returns, the whole procedure is reversed and the unit will switch back to mains power and will automatically start re-charging the batteries. Your equipment remains connected to the system even when power is restored. The whole process is fully automatic.

HOW LONG WILL THE INVERTER SYSTEM RUN WHEN THERE IS A POWER FAILURE:

The amount of backup time is determined by the size of the connected battery bank and the load drawn from the system. The backup time is normally calculated at 50 or 60% of load. If you remove some of the load, then the backup time will extended relative to the power used. For example, if your system is calculated at 4 hours backup at 60%l load and you reduce your load to 25%, you backup time can be extended up to 8-10 hours.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CHARGE THE BATTERIES WHEN MAINS POWER RETURNS:

The recharge time of the batteries depends on how much power was used from the batteries during a power failure. The recharge times can take up to 8 hours from at full battery discharge.

IF THERE IS A PLANNED POWER OUTAGE, CAN THE SYSTEM LAST FOR THE FULL POWER OUTAGE TIME:

Yes, but the system has to be correctly sized to begin with. These systems are capable of bridging power outages from 2 - 24 hours or (e.g. for 2 hours per day twice a day) as the battery chargers are powerful enough to recharge the battery bank to cater for the second outage on the same day (providing there is enough time between the 2 outages - at least 4-6 hours). Again this process if fully automatic.
